A Company Built Around Doing the Job Right the First Time
Atlanta Septic Pros is run by Marcus Doyle, a Cherokee County native who’s spent more than two decades reading North Georgia clay for a living. We don’t oversell service, and we don’t cut corners to avoid a callback.

Meet Marcus Doyle
Marcus spent four years as a combat engineer before he ever pumped a septic tank, which turned out to matter more than he expected. He came home to Cherokee County in his mid-twenties looking for work that used what the Army had taught him about reading ground, and ended up apprenticing under a septic contractor named Harlan Pruitt, who’d been working the county for almost thirty years. Marcus ran Harlan’s crews for six years before buying the route outright when Harlan retired in 2018.
He and his wife live outside Woodstock with their two kids, both of whom play travel baseball most weekends from March through July — a schedule Marcus plans job sites around more than he’d like to admit. What he took from Harlan wasn’t a sales pitch. It was a habit of never leaving a job site until he’d have been comfortable if it were his own yard, and that’s still the standard the company runs on.
Working Ground We Actually Know
Two decades on North Georgia clay teaches you a few things that don’t show up in a training manual. Here’s how that shows up in the way we run a job.
How We Communicate Findings
When we pull a lid or run a camera, we walk the homeowner through what we’re actually looking at, not just a conclusion. If a tank is fine, we say so, even when a longer job would’ve paid better. If a drain field is failing, we explain the mechanism and why it’s happening on this specific lot, not a generic script, so the decision in front of you actually makes sense.
How We Handle Homeowner Education
Most people calling us have never thought about their septic system before the day it started acting up. We treat every visit as a chance to leave someone smarter about their own property — marking where the tank actually sits, or explaining why the garbage disposal in the kitchen is working against them. A homeowner who understands their system calls us less, and that’s fine by us.
How We Treat the Property During Work
Digging on a residential lot means somebody’s yard, not just a job site. We flag utility lines before we dig, backfill and reseed disturbed ground when a job calls for it, and don’t leave equipment parked in a driveway longer than the work requires. It’s a small thing, but it’s the difference between a company people recommend and one they just tolerate.
